Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +372 on Billy's BMT calendar.
Once again, here are what the Normal blood counts levels are:

WBC: 4.0 - 10.5
RBC: 4.20 - 5.60
Hemoglobin: 12.5 - 16.1
Platelets: 150.000 - 450.000

We hope this update finds you all well. Billy finished up with the F.C.A.T. today, and feels he's done quite well. I forgot to mention that Billy was presented with his Honor Roll Certificate this past Wednesday. We are so very proud of him, and his accomplishments in School. He has made Honor Roll each semester of this School year, with one more to go! Billy spent some time outdoors Yesterday, and went to the "DugOut" to do some "gaming". The DugOut is a place where kids (and adults!) can go to take part in all sorts of games, such as Yu-Gi-Oh card game duel's, and buy-sell, and trade. He had a good time, and that's what matters. Billy also had a hair cut yesterday. That sounds so good, doesn't it! Billy had a hair cut!! He hasn't had hair for the better part of the last 2 1/2 years, and it is so nice to be able to comment about it now *wink*.
No, we haven't talked to Billy's Donor, George H., again since last Friday. I'm sure he is thinking of Billy, following Billy's Page, and also full of emotion's. Billy understands that this is also an overwhelming predicament to be in, but is looking forward to their next conversation *wink*.

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +377 on Billy's BMT calendar.
We hope this update finds you all well. Billy continue's to do well. Billy spent some quality time with his Buddy, John P., who came over the other day. Billy has been enjoying a few day's off from School this week, as the Teachers are conducting testing, but Billy will have an early class at 8:00am tomorrow! Billy is also scheduled to visit Dr. Letson (Billy's surgeon) at Moffitt Cancer Center, in Tampa, on Friday afternoon. This is a follow-up to Billy's leg re-constructive surgery that was done in January. Billy will most likely be cleared to begin his physical therapy. Billy has made great progress on his own, since his surgery, and is beginning to walk some without his crutches. He is still required to wear his leg brace though, until he is able to raise, and bend his leg on his own. After 3 surgeries of this kind, he is a real champ, and know's his limitations. He does feel as though this round of physical therapy will be easier, as he know's what to expect. After a few months of therapy, Dr. Letson will most likely refer Billy to Shriners in Tampa, for some more vigorous physical therapy.

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +381 on Billy's BMT calendar.
We hope this update finds you well. Billy continue's to do well. Our trip to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa on Friday turned out to be nothing more than sitting in traffic for 2 hours. It seem's that Billy's Dr. had an emergency, and was not available. No, no one called us to tell us that *wink*. At least the scenery here in Florida, is Great to look at *wink*.

Today is Alicia's Birthday, and we are going out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Billy is so excited, as are we, that we are going out to dinner. Since most of his restrictions have been "cautiously" lifted, we are trying to take advantage of every situation we possibly can. Billy even went to the Movies the other day, with his Friends. He had a Great time. He didn't have to wear a mask, or sit away from everybody alone. He is starting to LIVE AGAIN, and it is so very wonderful to witness.

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +385 on Billy's BMT calendar.
We hope this update finds you all well. A funny thing is taking shape here at Home. Billy is "sneezing" at times, when his cat (Kitty) come around him. We asked his Dr. if he could have become allergic to cat's, since Billy has a brand new immune system. That was one of the questions we had for George (Billy's Donor), but forgot to ask, in all the excitement. So, George, if you can hear me!! Are you allergic to cats?!

We had a wonderful Dinner "OUT", for Alicia's Birthday this past Sunday. We went to Carrabba's Italian Restaurant, here in St. Pete., Billy said he'd like to go back for his Birthday, next Month.

Alicia's Parents (Ama and Apa) are coming up from Miami today, to spend Easter with us. They are in the process of moving (permanently) to Miami, so we should be able to spend more time with them.

I added a new link below, to Our Friend Dylan's website. Please drop by his site, and say Hi! Tell him Billy's Dad sent 'ya! Don't forget to leave him a few words of encouragement in his Guest Book *wink*.

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Ama and Apa are here with us, as you know, and we will be having a very quite dinner together this afternoon. Thank you ALL, for your continued support, Thoughts, and Prayers. Billy asked me to send a "Special" Message to his Donor. "Thank you George, for your Gift of Life, I hope you'll have a wonderful Easter knowing that I am, because of you." I Love You George, I hope you know that.

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +393 on Billy's BMT calendar.
Today's counts are: WBC @ 5.80, RBC @ 3.91, Hemoglobin @ 12.8, platelets @ 212,000. ANC @ 3,000.
1:30pm We hope this update finds you well. As you can see by the blood counts above, Billy had a clinic visit today *wink*. Dr. Petrovic is "very happy" at what she see's in Billy at this stage in his bone marrow transplant. His counts are all in the normal range (RBC a bit low). Dr. Petrovic was also happy to administer Billy's 1st vaccination's! Billy received Tetanus/Diptheria vaccine today, and he will be monitored closely for any abnormal side effects. This is the 1st test on his new immune system, other than the things he's been in contact with over the past 393 days. Dr. Petrovic doesn't expect any adverse reactions *wink*.

Dr. Petrovic also received word from Dr. Letson (Billy's surgeon), and has written a prescription for Billy to commence his physical therapy. Billy will start his physical therapy in a few week's, 3 times per week. Billy has been doing leg exercises for over a month now, and is well on his way to "losing the crutches". If he is lucky enough to get his previous therapist (Charlene), she will be amazed at what she see's, I assure you!! Everyone in the PT department is very familiar with Billy, and his battles, and will be so happy to be able to treat him as he once again, returns to "normalcy". Speaking of normalcy, Billy was also "cleared" to attend School on a part-time basis, if he is up to it. We have to have a meeting with the staff at his School (Southside Fundamental Middle School), to arrange for Billy's need's. This is another GREAT milestone in Billy's Journey, as he has truly missed out on his "Social activities", and Friends. Although this School year is over in mid-May, even a few day's of attendance will be so beneficial in Billy's recovery process. Dr. Petrovic has also cleared Billy to visit the beach, and get some sun (soaked in sun-block of course). Living on an Island in Florida, and so close to the beach, it is terrible not to be able to take Billy. He can't wait to "get his color back".

Our good Friend's Eric and Debby Horner have invited us to attend his Concert at the 30th Annual Indian River Festival in Titusville on the 16th of this Month, and it looks as though we will be able to attend, and can't wait! Billy will be a Special Guest of Eric as he performs "Billy Make's It Rain", in his Honor. Eric informs us that since he's been singing Billy's song, it has gotten "rave reviews". We can't wait to hear it "LIVE"!! Billy doesn't know it yet, but Eric has sent us ID tag's, and back stage pass's! Since Billy's Birthday is the 18th, this will be a very "Special Treat" for him! Shhhhhhhhhh!

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +401 on Billy's BMT calendar.
Once again, I must apologize for the lack of up-dates. It's no excuse, to say that we've been pretty busy around home, but it's all I have *wink*. Billy had his physical therapy evaluation yesterday, and will be having PT 2 times per week. His physical therapist is the very same one (Charlene) he's had throughout his cancer treatments, and she was so very happy (with a tear in her eye) to see that he is doing well. She was also happy to see that he is well on his way to getting his leg back to "Normal", or as normal as can be.

We went to visit a couple Friend's the other day who were proud to present their new Son, born on the 30th of March. While we were visiting, we were able to "cast a few lines" in the lake behind their Home. Billy had some really good luck, as he was the only one to catch any fish. This was only the 2nd time he was able to go fishing since his cancer treatment was started 2 1/2 years ago, and he truly enjoyed himself (thanks Julie and Tito). He caught a couple large mouth bass, which we returned to the water. I have included a photo for you to see, so if you CLICK HERE, you'll see one that "didn't get away!".
