Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +424 on Billy's BMT calendar. Once again, here are what the Normal blood counts levels are:

WBC: 4.0 - 10.5
RBC: 4.20 - 5.60
Hemoglobin: 12.5 - 16.1
Platelets: 150.000 - 450.000

We hope this update finds you all well. I will continue to post the "Normal blood counts" on each new page, for those of you who aren't familiar with these level's. Billy's next clinic visit isn't for a few more week's, so I have no new counts to post *wink*.
Billy continue's to do quite well, and is progressing in his physical therapy sessions. Billy try's to walk at time's, without the use of his crutches, and he feel's as though he'll be free of them by July. While at PT last week, Billy ran into Dr. Letson, his surgeon, and he is very pleased at Billy's progress. He also feel's that Billy will certainly benefit by a few weeks of intense PT at Shriner's in Tampa, so he will schedule Billy for a few weeks "in-patient" PT in late June, or July.

We would like to pass on to all of you that the service for Christine yesterday was a very somber, yet up-lifting one. Although it get's harder to bare, as another Child is lost to cancer, we gain so very much strength from everyone who live's in "The World of cancer". Every one at the service was presented with an envelope that contained a butterfly, and at the end of the service they were released to the heaven's, as were many colorful balloons. Please click on Christine's link below, and leave a note for her Family in the guestbook. Your thoughtfulness is dearly appreciated.

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +430 on Billy's BMT calendar.
Billy at Ft. DeSoto Pk. 5-8-2005We hope this update finds you all well. Let me take a moment and wish all of the Wonderful Mother's who visit Billy's Page, a Happy Mother's Day. I know one Mother, who is particularly grateful for the Handsome Young Man to the left. I can also assure you that he is equally grateful for all that she is. Like any Mother would for their Son, Alicia has sacrificed so much of herself, and her being, over the past few years, and Billy has done everything in his power to show his un-ending appreciation, and Love. Along with Billy, I too will be forever grateful for his Mother, My Wife, Alicia. You can click the photo to see a larger version *wink*. The photo was taken today at Ft. Desoto Park. Billy, Alicia, and I spent a few hours there today, and did some fishing at one of the pier's. It was such a Beautiful day today, and Billy really enjoyed his time "IN THE SUN".

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +436 on Billy's BMT calendar.
We hope this update finds you ALL well. Today is the 436th day since Billy's life saving Bone marrow Transplant. I mention this, simply because we are reminded daily, that Billy's situation is a "fragile" one, one we can't take lightly. Although Billy's daily routine is pretty much back to "normal", the daily regimen of Medication put's things in reality. We took Billy yesterday, to get a new suit (for Uncle Jorge's wedding), and Alicia and I had a most wonderful feeling just to be able to have the chance to enjoy this opportunity with our 13 year old Son, and only child. Just a few short months ago, we could not even plan for tomorrow, and now we are planning weeks ahead, for our NJ trip, and Alicia's Brother's Wedding on May 30th. Yes, Billy can still suffer major setback's, and can even reject his "gift of Life" at any point in his remission. But we can, once again, "plan as a Family".

Billy finished his 7th Grade School Year yesterday, once again, something we never thought we'd see. Billy finished the Year with Straight A's in ALL of his subjects, and Honor Roll in ALL 6 semesters. We are now "PLANNING" for his 8th Grade School year, and his return to "actual" school. All of Billy's teacher's agree, that Billy will have no difficulties in returning to "physical school", and continuing in his Advanced Studies.

Billy is enjoying the day at his Friend Dyami's house today, again, something we could not plan for a few short weeks ago.

Thank You George H. for allowing Alicia, Billy and I to "Plan Ahead".

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Yesterday, I spoke of "planning ahead"; Today, Our Dear Friend Peggy, from the Desert Southwest, sent this to us; it speaks volumes as we relate to the past 3 years............Thank You Ms. Peggy, We Love you too *wink*.

"I am honored ... thank you so very much! God put the sun in the sky; Billy puts it in my heart."
(above quote from Peggy)

Please Pray for Billy.........................and ALL children of cancer.

Welcome back to Billy's Page. Today is Day +440 on Billy's BMT calendar.
We hope this update finds you ALL well. Four Hundred and Forty day's since Billy's bone marrow transplant, boy how time fly's. Billy started physical therapy with his NEW therapist yesterday. yes, I said new. Apparently, after 2 1/2 years, Billy's insurance say's, "it cost's toooooooooo much", and they will no longer pay for the PT at All Children's Hospital. Once again, the "Almighty Dollar" dictate's Billy's health care. Billy will still receive his PT, but with another therapist, at another facility that costs less than ACH was charging. New prescription, new evaluation, new surrounding's. Basically, Billy will be in "unfamiliar hands", starting all over. We are still awaiting word from Billy's surgeon, as to when Billy will be admitted to Shriners' in Tampa for his in-patient PT. What a mess...............
What a site........a beautiful stork just landed in our yard. I hope it doesn't mean anything *wink*!! Alicia took Billy to get a "hair cut" this afternoon. Since Billy's hair has grown back, it has come in black, and grow's very fast!! It is nice, to be able to make an appointment for a hair cut for Billy................
Boy how time fly's *wink*

Thank you to the folks at Love Letter's! Billy received your package today *wink*
