The Topic of Childhood cancer isn't easy to talk about, especially if it is YOUR Child; but it needs to be talked about and brought to the forefront of ANY cancer conversation. First and foremost, this Forum is a "SUPPORT GROUP". We, the Members of this Forum are very serious about this topic; it is NO JOKE to us, and shouldn't be to you. A lot of Childhood cancer 'Stories' are similar, as they were usually misdiagnosed at first. True Example: WE were told for almost a YEAR that our Son's pain was 'growing pains'! Yeah, a tumor was growing in my Son's Femur.

All treatments are not the same, as we all come to realize. What made yours different? Where were you treated?

Was a bone marrow transplant part of your Child's cancer treatment? With Blood cancers it usually is. Our Son was dxd with a secondary blood cancer caused by one of the many chemo drugs he received (VP-16). It was a successful PERFECT MATCH bone marrow transplant that saved his life.
